Congressman Paul Broun, Jr. wants
Washington to decide how our money is spent.
Bobby Saxon, candidate for Georgia's 10th Congressional
District, released the following statement in response to
Representative Paul Broun, Jr.'s vote against the
President's tax relief package, signed into law on February
13.
“Once again, Dr. Broun has demonstrated that he is out of
touch with our district and our values, but what should we
expect from a congressman who continually votes against our
children. President Bush's tax rebate plan will return
hundreds of dollars to the average Georgia family at a
critical time for our nation's economy. Our congressman,
however, seems more concerned with self-promotion rather
than supporting fiscally responsible policies in the form of
healthy tax relief.”
“Now is the time for taxpayers to be spending more of their
own money as oppose to having the government spend it for
them. When I'm elected, I'll fight for refunds when they're
needed most, and ensure that our tax dollars are spent in
the most intelligent and responsible ways possible.”
Bobby Saxon is an Iraq war veteran and small business owner
running for Georgia’s Tenth Congressional District. He is a
Major in the Georgia National Guard and has served in Iraq,
Afghanistan and at the Pentagon.
